Abstract

|
Objectives: This study investigates the factors influencing the health-related quality of life of adults in Korea using EQ-5D.
Methods: The t-test, ANOVA, a stepwise multiple regression analysis and a logistic regression, were performed.
Results: The analysis, identified several statistically significant factors affecting health-related quality of life, including subjective health status, stress, depression, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, osteoporosis, arthritis, and stroke.
Conclusions: The study underscores the need for introducing relevant policies to improve the quality of life for groups with relatively low socio-economic status. In addition, this study recommends a definitive prevention in public health perspective at the national level to improve the quality of life.
